About Dynette

Dynette has been an educator and student advocate for more than 15 years and has proudly served on the Board of Trustees for Frisco Independent School District since first being elected in 2020. Over the past six years, she has provided consistent, student-centered leadership focused on supporting educators, strengthening schools, and ensuring every decision reflects what is best for students and staff. A Frisco ISD resident since 2012, Dynette lives in the community alongside her mother and daughters and remains deeply invested in the success of local families.

With more than 20 years of experience in education, Dynette is widely recognized for building bridges between schools and the community. Over the past 18 years, she has developed programs that support student success from early childhood through college readiness. Her professional experience includes serving as a teacher, mentor, curriculum developer, teacher leader, and university professor across both private and public education sectors.

In 2020, Dynette made history as the first African American elected to serve on the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees. During her six years of service, she has used her leadership platform to promote transparency in public education policy while advocating for educators, families, and students across the district.

Dynette is a graduate of DePaul University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Educational Leadership at Concordia University
